      Brazil’s Supreme Court has denied a request for Trump adviser Darren Beattie to visit imprisoned former President Jair Bolsonaro, citing concerns that the visit could interfere with Brazil’s internal affairs. Bolsonaro is currently serving a 27-year sentence for his role in a coup attempt against his successor.

      The Trump administration has recently threatened Brazil by placing military bases near our borders and attempting to interfere in our elections. 

      Trump’s objective is to elect Flávio Bolsonaro, the son of the former president who attempted a coup, in exchange for which he would have access to our natural resources; furthermore, they want to distance Brazil from China, as the relationship between the two countries has been very beneficial.

      For the US, Latin American countries cannot develop and must remain their backyard.
