I think his arc was complete, I don’t know what else he would bring to the sequel.

I mean, when the movie ended he was headed off to Boston (i think) to be a chef at another restaurant. There was a hint that they would maybe rekindle their relationship but it was pretty much done. They were not soulmates.

And the quip about Nate having his own spinoff? C’mon dude, in what world is Andy’s whiny boyfriend from Devil Wears Prada getting his own spinoff? Boy bye.

  3. I think he killed his career with Entourage. It wasn’t a backlash to his character in Prada. No one on that show made it big.

I mean, I might watch if Nate went to LA with his childhood friends to try and be an actor.

I mean yeah, his character is the worst part of the movie. It’s not entirely his fault, but the whiny boyfriend who keeps putting down his girlfriend’s career isn’t why the movie is getting a sequel

  6. Bro hasn’t done much of anything since his tv show. Not sure he’s a bankable actors anymore

Why of why can it never be based on the books!! There is a second book. And his story does continue. I get so tired of these adaptations ruining the stories I know and love.

  8. We didn’t need Nate back though??? By the end of the film they pretty much hinted they’d stay friends and she’d “visit” but that’s it. So truly, why would we need his character back? It serves no purpose. I didn’t hate Nate as a character, to me it just seemed realistic of how many relationships end – you simply outgrow each other and find you’re incompatible going forward. And besides, we weren’t actually watching it for Nate anyway 🤣

  9. His character is like one of the most hated individuals in that era of cinema. In what world would they still be together, 15 years later?

  10. I watched all of Entourage that dude doesn’t act. He just talks in front of a camera.

  11. >“We’re all fans of the movie, whether or not we were in it,” Grenier said. “Obviously, it was a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel. But I also understand there was some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it.”

    >“I didn’t see some of the subtleties and the nuance of this character and what it represented in the film until the wisdom of the masses came online and started to push against the character and throw him under the bus, and I got flak,” the *Entourage* alum said at the time.

    >The actor added, “I might’ve been as immature as him at the time, so I personally couldn’t see his shortcomings. But after time to reflect and much deliberation, I’ve come to realize the truth in that perspective.”

dude gives a level headed perspective and gets shit on by reddit lol

grenier always comes across as super chill and grounded in his interviews

I thought he rebranded as a rancher in Austin who doesn’t need Hollywood

he’s character was a whihy insecure sad sack and so were the rest of andy’s friends.

Why would he? If we’re speaking about Andy’s story between the first movie and the second, I can’t imagine why she would think about her loser ex-boyfriend other than to be happy that he’s not bitching and complaining about her awesome career anymore.

Erggg I wouldn’t go out of my way to see anything with him in it. Nice he cares about the environment so much but he was kind of a womanizer for a bit wasn’t he?
