Iran had urged people across the middle east to stay at least 1 kilometer away from banks and financial institutions linked to the US and Israel, this comes after US-Israeli strikes targeted Bank Sepah in Tehran.

So is Dubai going to do anything about it?

From where I come from, getting hit by a drone is fighting words.

  3. I give up. I’ve got no fucking idea what’s going on with this conflict.

Dubai should just use this as an opportunity to open up a new tourist attraction. $$$$$$ for a chopper ride with .50 cal or minigun on it to shoot down drones from Iran.

I can’t wait for 100 paid Influencers saying, unparalleled safety 😂

  6. The Gulf States are definitely kicking the US out after this war is over. They see the US and Israel as chaotic agents on perhaps the same level as Iran.

Edit: didn’t mean to start a debate. I dislike Iran more than Israel and love the US, as I live and was born here. Just commenting based off what family who lives in Dubai has said. Obviously Dubai is just a small part of the Gulf, so it’s obviously possible I’m wrong.

Overall though, my sense from Lebanese Christian family, many who moved to the Gulf to have more stability years ago (now laughable, hah), is they’ve really soured on Israel due to its illegal settlement building in the West Bank and due to civilian casualties in Gaza and also in Lebanon over the past 3 years. Israel, for instance, just blew up a famous Christian priest in Lebanon. I’m not trying to be political, just trying to share “intel” with y’all and simply just telling it how it is.

I’m hoping we (the US) wins even though I think going to war with Iran was incredibly risky, and that we underestimated our enemy, perhaps due to Venezuela. Every civilian casualty anywhere and every US casualty is deeply saddening to me, not to mention all the innocents dying in my parents’ former country right now back in Lebanon. Hezbollah and Iran are worse than Israel and the US — obviously — but even people who are anti-Iran in the Mid East are uniformly pissed at what a stupid destabilizing move this seems to have been.

  7. Serious question, do you think the building would collapse if an airplane hit it?

„The interim leadership council agreed yesterday that no more attacks will be made on neighboring countries and no missiles will be fired unless an attack on Iran originates from those countries. I think we should solve this through diplomacy,“ -President Masoud Pezeshkian

They really think that terrorising everyone will make them go away, at this rate it might escalate to land war

And people were saying Citi was overreacting when they closed their Dubai offices a couple of days ago.
