Funny how the Montreal Gazette suddenly worries about minority language health care. In Quebec, anglophones have entire hospitals and institutions operating in English. Also, about half of Quebec is bilingual so the odd of having hospital staff helping in English is pretty high all across the province.

Meanwhile, francophones across the rest of Canada often struggle to get even the most basic services in French.

Also worth remembering this is the same Gazette that pushed the false panic that Bill 96 would stop patients from receiving care in English. Something the government clarified repeatedly was never the case.

So forgive me if I take this gazette article with a grain of salt. When it comes to language access in health care, Quebec is still doing far more for its minority than most of Canada does for its own.
