  1. Absolutely disgusting. I hope he rots in prison for a long time, then given a deportation order!!

    > The court was told he had been in Ireland for about two years and had no legal status here.

As in, applied for asylum, was refused and issued a deportation order that was ignored? Or, as in, entirely under the radar?

The bigger question here is why is Deliveroo getting away with employing illegals

Are we going to be inundated with people claiming he’s mentally ill again like we were last night?

  5. >“A Brazilian Deliveroo driver has been denied bail after being charged with sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl.

    >The accused, described as having „made his life here“ has since been let go by a food delivery company.

    >He was charged with sexual assault of the girl who had been out playing with a friend on February 15th, and possessing a false Portuguese driving licence on a later date at his address in the city’s north side.

    >It emerged during the bail hearing that the gardaí received separate reports of a Deliveroo driver making approaches to children on February 13th and 17th, which are still under investigation“

As someone who doesn’t drive, I do get the appeal of food delivery. But given how many people are working for these apps illegally, how often the name of the delivery person doesn’t match the actual person delivering, we should avoid using these apps until they fix it.

Being able to correctly identify the person who shows up at your house is crucial to your safety. If something goes wrong you want authorities to be able to catch them and not for them to find out the account was being rented to some stranger who can then go on and rent someone else’s account

  7. If it isn’t already feckin tough to be an immigrant, another dickhead tries his best to make things worse.
    Hope he rots in prison

The gardai now have a duty to release the stats showing the nationalities of those committing sexual assaults including on children. If Helen McEntee’s, and more recently Holly Cairns’, claims are true that’s there’s no link between immigration and crime then they’ll have no problem with the stats being released.

There also should be blanket law that any foreigner who commits sexual or violent crime on Irish people or other foreigners living here gets deported after sentencing. Our government and gardai have a duty to protect the Irish people and we have a right to those statistics. Enough is enough.

My thoughts are with that poor innocent child. Only 8 years old and should be able to play with her friends without fear of being predated upon. The article mentions there were two other incidents so at least two other victims. It’s sickening.

How many more illegal immigrants coming in via the North is it going to take to realise we have a problem

  10. .. and here come all the right wing anti immigrant posts. Just lock this thread down already.
