Imagine Iran hacking the US to get hold of and release the unredacted Epstein files as retaliation. That would surely be something.

Asymmetric warfare is a fascinating facet of conflict. Unfortunately, you really can’t spend billions on an asymmetric aircraft carrier or tank.

And this is why we blocked all traffic to and from Iran, North Korea, and most former Soviet countries last year

Kind of an odd response, resetting corporate phone settings for some obscure manufacturer. Not hacking the DoD or disrupting infrastructure or a DDoS for Trump hotel reservations.

people in the Trump admin are franctically googling „what is asymmetric warfare?“

Hey, Iran… if you want the US’s popular support, next cyber attack wipe out all Student Loan debt.

If confirmed, that opens up a whole new front in this conflict.

This doesn’t feel very impressive. Some dumb admin had his intune admin account phished most likely. Lord help them if they did or didn’t have MFA turned on. They won’t even be down for months, they just have to setup all the computers and phones again lol.

We’re in for a much longer, economically impactful, and bloodier war than I think most people realize.
Iran also mined the Strait of Hormuz, which is precisely the outcome many former presidents opted to avoid due to the dire financial/ oil related implications by avoiding a war with them.
If there was ever a time for that AI bubble to pop, it would be during a conflict with Iran that createe a worldwide energy crises.
Of course, much of the hardships we face will fall directly into the laps of us taxpayers. We’ll have to focus even more on making and saving money than, say, the biggest, ugliest, most deplorable presidential scandal in United States history

Dear supreme leader of Iran, do you want to get revenge for what the orange man did to your family and is doing to your country, hack your buddy Putin and release the pee pee tape.

I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where Stryker is headquartered.
Prior to January 2024 I worked in proactive cybersecurity, building infrastructure that detects and prevents attacks before they impact production systems. My work supported platforms used by organizations such as Microsoft and Netflix and involved SIEM tooling.
I applied to a local cybersecurity job, they closed it and reopened the role in Pune India.
How’s that working out for you guys?

They’ve also specifically said they will work to target Microsoft/Amazon/Google datacenters abroad. With so much in the cloud, I’m not sure the western world can handle major outages that are caused by datacenters being attacked.

If the hacker has admin access to Microsoft Intune it’s almost certainly malware. Sounds like one of the execs or senior IT people have a virus.

These attacks will intensify but also will remain long after the war.

Per the article: “Iran has conducted some of the most infamous “wiper” cyberattacks on national enemies, aiming to simply erase all data on computers’ networks. Victims include Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national oil company, in 2012, and the Sands Casino in 2014.”
Now do the Trump kids’ bank accounts. Wipe them out to zero… And Trump’s… and Bannon, Miller, etc.

Ask them to get the damn files so we can be done with this shit
