This is a power move and will make Trump very angry

Shouldn’t that be „millions of barrels of oil“? Using „barrel“ as a (shitty) measuring unit?
I doubt they are using millions of individual little barrels.

They’re all in it together and we are but pawns in the game.

Didn’t know Iran made barrels.

The Strait of Hormuz is basically a geopolitical chokepoint that everyone pretends they can control but nobody actually can, this is just Iran calling everyone’s bluff while the rest of the world watches and complains

A chess board move to spite Trump!

Are you saying that the result of the invasion is that everyone else has higher oil prices but China?
Well done, let’s give everyone a clap on the back.

Irony. Trump spends tens of billions of American tax payer money. Gets American soldiers killed and maimed. Killed thousands of civilians. End result; Iran regime remains strong, exports more oil to America’s chief rival, China.

Well yeah of course, everyone is going to use whatever advantages they can, it’s a war, oh no sorry, it’s an „excursion“, no wait a „military action“ or maybe a special military operation?

The tankers go both to China and India.

Turns out the Strait of Hormuz isn’t closed — it just switched to a China membership plan.

Time for China to shine
All they have to do is share with Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Philippines, etc and they will win big diplomatically and can even profit

Good. Most of the Hormuz oil was going to go to Asia anyway. And getting China of the white market lowers buying pressure for the rest of the world. It’s not really a bad thing imho.

Are we tired of winning yet?
7 radar sites worth billions of dollars destroyed, billions worth of ammo used in the first few days and now a global oil crisis and more than likely boots on the ground.

I’m honestly surprised at just how poorly thought out the attack on Iran has been, anyone even remotely paying attention would have known the regime wasn’t going to immediately collapse, and that the Strait of Hormuz was going to be fucked.
I don’t expect anything from Congress, it’s well established they have no spine and are happy for Trump to play dictator. But the military?
It’s the most powerful military on earth, and their logistics are usually a strength. How can they start a war without a plan for the Strait of Hormuz, without a plan for evacuating US citizens from the region?
