  1. For some reason Uruguay being high intrigues me the most. What’s going on down there?

As a Russian with suicidal thoughts I can say that the suicide problem became even worse in 2026

  3. Is it age adjusted? Younger countries always have lower rates because people usually start killing them selves later in life

Is Greenland the only region shown separately? Also, Nunavut has higher suicide rate than Greenland.

Wow this is insane, I didn’t realize it was so high everywhere. That so sad

  6. Greenland’s healthcare status and public health status is catastrophic despite them being „cared for“ by Denmark. Suicide, depression, heart disease, accidents, etc, all impact life expectancy.

    Denmark 82 years

    Greenland 74 years

Low numbers in some Arab countries, you probably risk the death penalty if you try.

  9. Do colder climates and shorter days in the winter have anything to do with nations having higher rates of suicide?

General connection between prosperity and suicide because you don’t die from the regular stuff as much. And then Russia

  11. Like so many other numbers, China’s low rate is not from data, but more of a successful feature of government reporting.

Suicide is widely portrayed as an ok choice in TV and movies.
