1974 griechisches Referendum für Republik vs. Monarchie

Stumbled upon this event’s [Wikipedia article](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_Greek_republic_referendum) after seeing some similarities with Iran’s Reza Pahvlavi’s proposal to act as a transitional figurehead. Thought it might be worth sharing with the community.

Spartans being Spartans

Honestly it’s great that they all voted for a republic. It just feels plain wrong for the cradle of western democracy to be a monarchy. And under a Germanic house no less.
