Das von Orbán unterzeichnete Dokument trägt den Titel „Über notwendige Maßnahmen im Zusammenhang mit der ungewöhnlich großen Menge an Bargeld und Goldbarren, die durch das Staatsgebiet Ungarns transportiert werden, mit dem Ziel, die nationalen Sicherheitsinteressen des Staates zu schützen.“ Im Beschluss heißt es, dass die Steuer- und Zollverwaltung diese Gelder während der Untersuchung (zwei Monate) zurückhalten wird.
Heute hat der ungarische Minister für Bau und Verkehr effektiv bestätigt, dass die beschlagnahmten Gelder als Druckmittel gegen die Ukraine aufbewahrt werden, bis Druschba freigegeben wird.

State theft and blackmail.
I wonder when „we“ (the EU) will do anything but be „concerned“ about it.
Well, actually, it’s kind of good news. It means Orban still can’t really control courts, so instead of forging a court arrest, he issues such bullshit papers. This also hints at a way to fight him: sue the Hungarian government in court.
Ukraine should give them one week to return the money and then begin permanently dismantling the pipeline and any associated infrastructure.
„If they blackmail us….“ while plainly admitting to committing blackmail themselves. What exactly is EU doing about this?
So basically every one waits for elections before responding.
And as usual, the EU will sit back, have meeting upon meeting to discuss this – and then do nothing.
