Enhypen is at an amazing stage in their career right now and while I’m so sad about about this, I’m so fucking impressed at Heeseung’s commitment to his own love of music. This is a risk no one has ever taken before. No one has left a group without controversy or lawsuit or 2 years away from renewal, especially when the group is still reaching new heights and gaining new rewards. They JUST won a Daesang. Just finished Coachella. Just had a sold-out western tour. Just had their most successful comeback chart ever. Just breaking into Australia and Europe markets.
Many people are talking about how other idols waited until they were big and stable which makes this even more insane and impressive. The balls on this guy. No one can ever accuse Heeseung of only caring about fame and success. It’s always been the music.
Here we are. He’s insane to care this much about his art, at the risk of everything. It’s fucked up but I’m gagged.

It’s just so surprising. They’ve had OT7 events up to yesterday and they have more OT7 events scheduled, including new merch and a festival. He was even talking about his plans with the members in Australia a few days ago. He was literally talking about a Europe tour yesterday.
We’re blindsided. I’m not one to overthink but I think people have a point that it sounds odd Belift would suggest this option to him in the first place. Why? Was it so impossible to halt group activities for a month or two to give room for a solo project? Why was this the compromise? So many questions and so much sadness.

I’m just worried about how Enhypen’s songs will be like now. Heeseung had some of the best vocals in the group, and now that he’s gone… ugh, this is just all confusing to me, but I’m still excited to see what his music direction will be like.
I’m glad he’s pursuing his own dreams, and the company seems to be fully behind him as well.
After all this I hope his music isn’t ass 😭😭🙏🙏
Why not do solo projects and return to the group like everybody else did.

I wonder if BeLift didn’t want to slow down Enha’s schedule to allow Heeseung to have solo outings while remaining in the group, so they said he could be a solo artist instead but no group. Just a theory.
It’s still interesting though, because he was the center right? I don’t know much about Enhypen, but from what I’ve been seeing, continuing with the group separately is going to be like trying to make Ice Cream without milk. Possible, but it will be different.
i believe that has some truth in both statements, but fans can’t help but raise eyebrows since this is so sudden. can’t wait for the full story in a few years when he releases his book SPARKLE ✨️
Wow this is the first thing I see when I open Reddit but, it’s looking like Enhypen is approaching their 7th year next year and perhaps negotiations are already in order or perhaps Heeseung has a different contract, and the company sees potential in his solo career.
Is there any way he can do both his solo activities and sometimes work with enhypen?
He could’ve released solo stuff while being in enhypen just like yeonjun is doing atm but I respect his decision🥹
Okay I didn’t expect to wake up to this and this to be the first thing I see. Why can’t he be a soloist and in Enhypen? I don’t Stan them but I regularly keep up with them. Hell, it’s not a problem with NCT. I’m so confused.. maybe I’m dreaming? Isn’t Heeseung the lead vocalist??
The only reason I can make up to justify this is maybe he just wasn’t happy in the group. He was unfulfilled. Yes, he could go solo and be in the group as well. But he isn’t, and there has to be a reason why. Being a fan of NCT, seeing the announcement at first scared me because of Taeils departure. Thankfully, it’s nothing like that. I hope he’s happy as a soloist, and that he can still freely interact with the other Enhypen members.
I still think this is bizarre. There is really no reason for him to leave the group. Like…every other group member that has had a solo release. What a nothing burger of an explanation.

Seriously im shocked… since it was so abruptl I was worried but it seems this was probably heeseung’s will considering how big of a risk it would be to remove THE heeseung from enh.
The timing and wording of all this is weird as hell. I hope for fans and the members it’s nothing bigger and both sides can be peaceful.

This is so surprising like what?? I never saw this coming at all. And heesung one of the faces of the group? I understand he must’ve been unhappy with the group’s creative direction but he should’ve done solos instead of outright leaving the group. I wonder if they discussed the group’s vampire concept and belift had no plans to change it up so he left or if it was something else
The more I think about it, the more his decision makes sense. Usually bg don’t start solo projects until mandatory enlistments start, and since he’s the oldest, he won’t be able to release a solo project until he’s out of the military. That’s a really long time from now, so I don’t blame him. 🙁

Everyone keeps saying there’s no “reason” for him to leave; and with the fear of Belift forcing him, I get it.
But is no one considering he wanted to leave? Personal discomfort needs no “reason”in that sense. Maybe he’s tired, maybe he’s unfulfilled etc; and maybe he could wait it out, go solo later. But he doesn’t want to because he’s unfulfilled/unsatisfied in what he’s doing right now anyways? I’m not saying it’s the only option but like, he’s a grown man, he’s capable of choosing too. It’s a real possibility.
Edit: And not only is it a possibility, but it’s what he said. Suggestion or not, he *chose* the suggestion.
Were their contracts up for renewal? Or was this truly a bolt from the blue decision?
Maybe he has bad relationship with his members but the company doesnt want to let him as go as he is one of the most popular member. (Don’t hate on me. This is just a MAYBE)
