didn’t he brag after the attack? Didn’t really need much detective skills on this murder case

Anyone got an idea on why?

Dude is a monster, so he’s not some kind of vigilante with a penchant for slaying child harmers (doing my best to avoid censoring), so is it a clout thing? And if its a clout thing, why would Ian rate so highly? National press coverage? As heinous as his crimes were, there have been people that have done just as bad, such as the guy who did him in…. and does this also mean that this guy is now on someone else’s clout hit list?

The guy who killed him is still a monster. The prison system needs looking at if this is possible. This could happen to a prison guard quite easily.

Why was a triple murderer able to obtain a weapon and murder someone? Were the prison guards in on it?

A complete mockery of our prison system.

Being locked in your cell for 21 hours a day with nothing to do but eat your meals and watch TV. is not rehabilitation!.

    5. Anthony Russell murdered three people and left a number of other people with severe injuries before his conviction in 2022.

I do hope there’s no one out there still thinking some murderers are better than other murderers.

Anthony Russel . Killed 3 people . In monster mansion on a full life sentence with no chance of parole apparently . He knew he had nothing to loose and he’d be a hero.

One of Russel’s victims was a pregnant woman who he raped prior to killing.

The other 2 were a man he incorrectly thought was going out with his ex girlfriend and the man’s mother .

While I’m glad huntley is dead, a scumbag killed another scumbag .

My thoughts go to the Wells and Chapman families amd the families of Russel’s victims. Must be hard for them to see people calling him a hero and calling for his release as has happened on facebook .

    7. Does anybody know what actually happened in the attack or how Huntley died? All I’ve read is that it involved some sort of metal implement and that he was blinded in the attack. I can’t find any sources reporting on it.

    8. There’s some people calling the guy a hero and how he should be released. They either don’t know what he’d done previously or they’re twisted. Won’t be long until there’s a Netflix special I suppose. They love to glamorise those sort of people.

I’ve seen this story minutes after reading the BBC article on women killed by their spouses or strangers in the last few years. The combination has definitely made me desire more harm to abusers and people like this Ian dude. I don’t like these stories, I often forget there are humans who live to ruin joy and cause destruction. A side of me wishes all who do certain crimes would just wind up gone. However, civility dictates the courts handle it, won’t ever lose a wink for such creatures.

Irrelevant and a waste of the courts time and money. He’s already on a whole life order, you literally can’t jail him for longer.

It’s a grim situation all around, but the outcome is hard to feel bad about. The whole thing just highlights the brutal, cyclical nature of prison violence.

This is what justice is all about. A monster murdered a different monster and is going to face a criminal trial over it. It does not matter who the victim was, no one should be treated differently in the eyes of the law when it comes to murder.

    13. Is anyone else interested in deconstructing that headline?
Am I supposed to oppose man murdering Ian Huntley?
Man should be allowed to murder Ian Huntley?

    14. Physical-Cod2853 on

Good, I shed no tears over that cunts death but the murderer killed 3 people and raped a pregnant woman

When I think about this guy I compare him to Ian Brady, who lived 50 + years after conviction. Those extra decades served no purpose after about 1986, when he confessed. He just spent all that time playing mind games, tormenting the victims families and trying to get in the press.

Huntley won’t be able to do that now, so it will spare Holly and Jessica’s families more years of it. It is better than he is dead. It would need better for his killer to die as well, because he will live in Maudsley-esque conditions after this.
