Oh god no. That will prove they gouged. If they bought oil at high prices or pretend they did, they will have to sell it all at that price.

Energy Prices are quick to rise and slow to fall in general. Ships moving is very good news though for your electric and gas bills

    2. No it will be rise like a rocket fall like a feather. Double checked the AA website for historic fuel prices & back in 2022 when Ukraine war kicked off, Petrol shot up to €1.90/2.00 in May/June 2022 and did not fall back to normal prices until the following January.

Rocket and feather! Why drop prices so quickly when they can squeeze a few more quid out of the poor saps that rely on it. As Kevin McPartland despicably said “we price it high to discourage buyers, despite knowing they’re going to buy anyway”

Isn’t the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission meant to be look after the consumer when it comes to issues exactly like this?

Are they going to sit back on their laurels and do nothing?

And I’m sure the Irish consumer doesn’t want to listen to a crisply formulated press release either.

Email them today. Ask them what they’re going to do.

    5. No, new plan is dynamic pricing, the more you use the more the person on the next pump pays.

To follow their own supposed logic, surely they have to drop their prices immediately now to prevent all the panic selling that will happen?

Prices are still very volatile, it had gone up to $95 an hour ago, now it’s back to $90. It’s far from over yet.

No, they price in increases straight away and then they (suppliers) wait to be undercut before dropping. The margin on fuel is about 4% for retailers but they are also getting gouged by the supplier as 99% can’t switch suppliers as they are tied to the supplier.
