Oh ya we’ve made a tremendous comeback since… 🫠. Unemployment rate at a all time high, steel mills across ontario closing, job cuts galore, mass immigration that has left people unable to buy their first home or get their first entry level job. Ya were booming elbows up! 🫡🙄

The only time I see that slogan used on this sub is sarcastically to try to demean others. Wish it would stop.

Canada has gone from top 5 in quality of life to 28th, keep in mind Carney was Trudeau’a economic advisor all these years

      Orange man bad though 😂

American media don’t yet realize how cringey that phrase is here.

The only thing higher than our elbows is our unemployment rate and grocery prices! Great work guys!

Trump is still crashing around in the china shop smashing shit.  So yeah everyone is on edge.

Thanks for inflicting your mental illness on the world, Americans

The whole elbows up thing kind of really only resonates with a certain age demographic of people

    8. The article’s photo perfectly encapsulates the elbow’s up crowd. Geriatrics who see their gravy train coming to an end if anything upsets the status quo.

Meanwhile the rest of us are just trying to survive and afford to live lmao.

    9. That article is from the USA’s CNBC. Most Canadians I know care less about the „elbows up“ terminology and more about the anti-American/pro-Canadian sentiment.

The term „elbows up“ is really unimportant, so long as we stay the course.

    10. I’m unlikely to travel to the United States for vacation again in my lifetime. Even without the threats to our country and our livelihoods, it’s simply not a safe place to travel to any longer.

Been to America more since the elbows up. It’s so funny to talk to Americans and they are like “what do you mean Canada is mad at us” they literally have no idea while we are spinning ourselves in circles
