    what’s interesting about central Europe is it sits at the intersection of multiple haplogroup gradients. R1b dominates to the west, R1a to the east, and the central European corridor has this mix from multiple migration waves that’s still visible in the DNA. Austria showing similarity to the balkans makes sense given the historical population movements through the danube corridor
