      Cost is a per unit thing. It says you are using a lot more.

      This has nothing to do with the middle east and is based on your usage (or energia’s belief on your usage).

      They say you are using enough electricity to power 200 average homes.

      I reckon someone in the ESB made a big mistake.

      73,932 kWh usage for March so far here. 😂

      I guess I’ll start looking for someome to buy my kidneys to pay a bit off that bill.

      I can see three possibilities:
      1) you are mining bitcoins

      2) you haven’t submitted a reading for some years and now are being charged the difference

      3) it’s a glitch

      I hope for you it’s the third one.

      Can I ask what apps fo you use and what plans are you on in order to see your consumption?
      I have a smart meter, am on 2monthly bill pay but not on a smart meter tariff and cannot see my daily consumption.
      I get that information from my PV plant app.

      My meter didn’t show Friday’s use until this morning so EirGrid/ESB Networks seems to be having a glitch.

      Smart electricity meters are failing I was getting bills for about 2k for per billing cycle for two consecutive cycles the second half of last year. It’s just me living in a 2 bed apartment.

      I’m dual fuel so gas for heating

      33k for 125 kwh is not bad!

      You’re on a rate there of about 0.28c per kwh which is like a 35% discount on their current max rates. So it would seem you’ve got about ad good of a deal as you’ll get in Ireland.

      I don’t know what you produce but could you switch to a night rate? Might help you out!

      ESB watching fuel prices rise knowing they can fleece everyone out of billions. I hear green energy generates more electricity in Europe now than fossil fuels, but ESB don’t give a shit
