Normalisiert gegen die Gesamtzahl der Restaurants in einer 7×7-Meilen-Rastersuche. Sicherlich scheint es sich um eine NorCal-Sache zu handeln (mit Ausnahme einiger großer Sandwich-Liebhaber in Reno, lol).

Ich habe das gemacht, weil ich es super seltsam finde, dass es anderswo kein absolut leckeres Sandwichbrot gibt.

    Tool: A Python script that parses the dataset to track „Dutch Crunch“ or „Tiger Bread“ mentions in reviews (normalized in a 7×7 mi grid search). The visualization was matplotlib and geopandas.

  2. San Jose native. It’s because that stuff tears up the roof of your mouth if it’s fresh. People here have been naturally selected for camel-palates by now.

    It’ll take a few generations for people to catch on and eat it upside down. 

  3. Huh, I moved to NorCal from the UK and just assumed Dutch Crunch was a nationwide thing. TIL otherwise, I guess.
