      Naive thinking. Even if Trump and Bibi wanted to stop the war now, it’s no longer up to them. If Iran keeps bombing U.S. bases in Israel and Gulf countries, what are they supposed to do—just let it happen? These fools started a war to save themselves from jail time, without realizing they don’t have the power to stop it.

      Interestingly, a lot of Trump’s base is dubious of Israel. It’s dubious of wars and felt they were used as an excuse and then ignored after prolonged middle eastern wars. I’m curious to see how this plays.

      I think Iran is going to stay in full war mode regardless of what either of these nonces do. Tehran has rejected “unconditional surrender,” the retaliation cycle is still active, and even Iran’s own internal messaging suggests the hardliners are not in the mood to simply stand down now.

      So the real question is, can they stop it?

      Trump is a crazy old man. He seems to treat war like a game and shows little concern for the people who are dying. Anything beyond neutralizing nuclear capabilities is something no one can justify. It puts the United States and its allies at risk, and he should not be allowed to continue serving as President of the United States.
