Are y’all not reading the article? It was a counterprotestor, not the anti-Muslim protestors headed by the J6er. 

Fuck the Nazi protest, but it wasn’t that group that threw the device. 

It’s as of yet unknown why the people that did this did it. Speculating before any police statements seems pointless, and I don’t know why the press is in a rush to say nothing of substance.

The device was a live device. Not a dud, not a smoke bomb. Thrown by a perpetrator yelling „Allahu Akbar“ during throw after throw and during arrest, all recorded.

A can/jar full of nuts, bolts and screws, with a lit fuse. The explosive found inside the IED was TATP, a highly unstable and enormously volatile compound, the same one used during previous bombing massacres (Paris, London-Manchester 7/7, Brussels, Barcelona etc), commonly used by ISIS. Reportedly, the perpetrator also mentioned ISIS to the FBI. Luckily, they were dumb and didn’t mix it properly. That stuff, called „Mother of Satan“ can explode just by looking at it.

This is not just some homemade M-80; this is a serious national security threat.

They do not make it clear in this article what allegiance the person who threw the devices had. I suspect the police don’t know at this point either.

One group of people is identified as protestors in the article. These are followers of Jake Lang, a neo Nazi, and they totaled around 20 people. The aim of their “protest” was anti-Muslim during Ramadan at the home often NYC’s Muslim mayor. So, 20 racist protestors.

The other group is identified as counter protestors. These are around 120 people whose aim was to “drive the Nazis out” of NYC. So 6 antifascists for every Nazi.

The article says one of the **counterprotestors** threw the devices, shortly after some of the **protestors** deployed pepper spray. Does anyone have a video link that would show those two things happening? It doesn’t make sense to me that someone who shows up with their community to drive out Nazis would bring an explosive device with them that would hurt their own community. Something seems strange here.
