      I thought they would have more similarities with Denmark or Norway than Spain.

      I wonder which formula is used to calculate the DNA-similarities, and if it actually makes any sense at all.

      How the hell do we have more similaraty than any other nation in Europe, INCLUDING Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. (From Belgium)

      I’m not remotely surprised the English are more similar to Scots and Irish than they are Germans. The remaining Saxon influence doesn’t feel especially strong, especially the further north and west you go.

      York being a „Viking“ town always seemed like a suspect statement.
