Tends to happen when you’re in prison for killing two of the people most likely to visit you in prison.

    Dear Nick Reiner,

I’m sure your overworked underpaid public defender will represent you well in court. Fuck off.

    Sincerely,

    Society

My ex rapist brother in law’s only visitor for years was his mother. Dad had died. Older brother had died. Older wealthy sister thought he was a sociopath. My late husband and his younger brother avoided him too.

  4. Severe mental health illness + addiction illness due to the mental health issues = severely broken brain. If you’ve ever been to or worked in a mental hospital/school, you’ll note how rare visitors are. This is also true with nursing homes/memory care facilities.

I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that Rob Reiner was murdered. Fuck this guy.

Hard to feel bad for him. Plenty of people have debilitating mental illnesses with far fewer resources than what he had given his parents wealth. He basically had every opportunity in life to get help but didn’t and killed the people who I’m sure cared the most and wanted to help him. What a mess

I actually feel bad for him. He has a serious mental condition and it seemed the only people in his corner were his parents.

When/if he can get his meds under control, the feeling of despair of what he did will be unbearable – and he won’t have the people he needs most there to support him.

Strap in, buddy. You’ve got a very long and lonely life ahead of you

Tends to happen when you’re a spoiled, mentally ill, drug addict who murdered the two people who, by all accounts, refused to give up on you, gave you a life of ease and luxury, and every resource possible to get better and acheive wellness.

Well his parents probably would be there if it wasn’t them that he murdered

  11. Wait. Hold on. You mean to tell me the guy who brutally murdered his own parents isn’t popular???

Love that for him. Looks like he’s suffering a lot, maybe not eating, getting no decent sleep … may he continue to decay slowly from the inside out with not one single word of comfort or kindness from anyone.

I feel sorry about his mental conditions I really do, but he’s ran out of chances and now has to face the consequences of his actions and behaviours throughout the years

  14. Drug dealers aren’t known as the most reliable friends when it comes to showing up for a homie

This dude went from living a charmed life to not even having the support an average prisoner has. His fall from grace is staggering in size.

  16. His siblings must feel tremendous pain of their brother brutally murdering their parents and the siblings have lost their brother. I know they have a way older sister when Rob Reiner married Penny Marshall, he adopted her daughter but the older sisters kids and Rob and his second wife’s kids are the same age, so there is a disconnect (and other things that could affect their relationship with their older sister). I expect this guy to spend the rest of his life in a mental hospital – prison, altho I wouldn’t be surprised if some voted for the death penalty, I doubt Rob and his wife would want that but I truly don’t know. This is all around for the surviving kids a kind of hell for them.

  17. Similar tragic news happened in Sydney many years ago

A well known art curator and dean of an art school, Nick Waterlow and his daughter were stabbed to death by his schizophrenic son Antony

Antony did a lot of drugs when he was in art school causing mental illness, refused to take medications and he was declared innocent a few years after murdering his dad

It’s probably an unpopular opinion but I feel sorry for him. Not that he doesn’t deserve a punishment. But, you know, I think it’s clear this situation is pure mental illness. Not evil. There is a difference. He’s very very very very sick and the sickness got a hold of him too tightly.

Only surprise is that this is a surprise to some people. If I had a sibling kill my parents, I wouldn’t want to visit them in jail either.

This dude is scary AF. The pictures of him when he was a bit younger, with a full head of hair are terrifying. There’s something unnatural about his resting face. Something with his mouth, and blank eyes that really frightens me. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, and seeing that face staring down at you.

  21. Ok-Turnip-9035 on

    I won’t knock his siblings

Cause not visiting him is a whole other thing they have to process and work through on top of what he’s done

Another decision they had to work through

He serves as a prime example of why you should always distance yourself from drug users. If possible.

i have a hard time letting mental illness excuse violence when it comes to jail/punishment. it’s a horrifying crime and if he’s found guilty, he should be put away forever.
