What are they storing at these police stations to cause such a secondary explosion?

What about the all civilians held up at these police stations? Isn’t targeting police, who are often considered civilians, a warcrime?

Attacking police stations when you don’t even have troops on the ground or people in the streets for your cause. This is just terrorism. Stupid and short sighted terrorism because their war aims aren’t achievable.
