    >international law

They’re more loose guidelines these days though aren’t they?

Kinda like how gentleman’s agreements are fairly pointless unless all involved are actual gentlemen

Mandatory European statement with lack of sincerity and inability to back their statements with action .

    Just virtue signalling.

  3. There is a nuance to this. He said the strikes are not in line with international law (which is definitely true), BUT he has sympathy for them.

  4. Except it’s in line. If the Netherlands were in an ongoing conflict with Iran and its proxies, they would be right to attack Iran too.

There is no such thing as international law as there is no governing body to enforce it. Yes the strikes in Iran are wrong but there isn’t a body of enforcement that has any power to call it illegal

Tenía razón Sánchez cuando dijo „no estamos solos, solamente hemos sido los primeros‘

  7. Was the tens of thousands massacred by the Islamic republic in line with international law? The 10k+ civilians blinded? The children gang rapes? Tortured? The unlawful executions?

And the rest of what he said is this:

Jetten added that the Dutch government has an “understanding” for the initial strikes against Iran, given Tehran’s long-standing threat to its own population and to regional stability.

„Not in line with international law but I understand why they did it“ is basically where every Western leader has landed. The condemnation comes with a wink.

The thing about the United States is that they dont want this rhetoric to be spoken. Hence why Trump spoke negative about Spain.

The more people condemning the US is always a good thing.

Nice statement, but seeing how Netherlands former PM has his nose stuck in Trump’s ass, these are hollow statements. Expect no further action from Netherlands in this regard cause America and American businesses own them.

    Well… call International Law Police…

Oh right, that’s not a thing.

Does this mean that America is officially a delegitimate criminal regime?

  14. Hold the phone. The guy/the country that likes to ignore international law may have ignored international law? No shit. Maybe someone should do something about it instead of constantly observing the obvious.

  15. It’s even against national law in Trump’s country, and he gives exactly zero fucks about that too.

That is not the shocking bit. The shocking bit is that Trump’s country also gives zero fucks about it, given that they have refused to take any action against the Presidential pedophile or even constrain his powers in the slightest.

  16. Alternate headline could be, „European politician makes a generic and largely worthless statement“

Nobody wanted the war with Iran except for the people named in the Epstein files and it will further strengthen Iran theocratic regime.

Just such dumb takes around international law.

Iran attacks isreal thousands of times for 50 years…..

This war has been discussed as a real possibility for that amount of time.

Make no mistake I think this plan seems totally ill planned.

But the random figure pointing about international law that really doesn’t even exist is tiresome

  20. Yes. Duh. And there is of course some sort of consequence?

No? Ah. So we’ll all just go back to letting the toddler do anything he fucking wants to, shall we?
