And Uruguay as safe 💀I mean sure, as long as u don’t stay much in the capital sure, everywhere but the capital is really safe tbh, but the capital? Nah better avoid

    2. I’m assuming the inclusion of North Korea is because the south claims it as part of its territory and not actually because North Korea is safe to travel to?

Pretty surprising that Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova are considered safer than Denmark, Spain and the U.K.

My family is from Portugal but I grew up in northern Queens, NY. You can never be from Portugal if you’re Korean, you’re from northern Queens the second you move there. You should talk to immigrants who have lived in both Europe and America, there’s a sense of belonging (still) you don’t get in Europe even despite perceptions.

Maybe you SK government should go on a state by state basis, that’d work!

I’m not sure Canada is safe. Canada itself is very safe but it has an unpredictable, crazy and nasty neighbor under Trump. He might just decide to bomb Canada because someone there said something he didn’t like

    6. The interesting thing is that Korea doesn’t just warn of travel, it forbids its citizens from traveling to dangerous countries. Currently Koeans are not allowed to travel to Ukraine, Iran, Iraq and some countries in Africa.

The map incorrectly leaves Lithuania (and many other European nations) in grey while highlighting Latvia and Estonia in green. In reality, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) classifies Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia identically. In addition It highlights countries like Kazakhstan and Peru in green but leaves most of Western Europe (France, Germany, UK) and the United States in grey. South Korea officially considers these Western nations highly safe.

    8. Strange that Poland has warning because it borders Ukraine but Slovakia, Romania and Moldova are green. Romania is also on this raport as be cautious up to 20km from Ukrainian border while Poland is 30km

    9. This is essentially a map of countries as safe as or safer than South Korea.

Ignoring the DPRK thing, South Korea what the fuck are you smoking with some of these picks. Why are all the stans on the list but the states aren’t. Why are the Balkans on the list but fuggin, France isn’t lol

Peru? wtf. Not saying it’s not safe it’s just as safe as a ton of other countries in S America that are marked green

North Korea too?! I’d have thought that would be the last country deemed safe, since they’re technically still at war…

    13. So its safe to travel to North Korea, but not safe to travel to USA, Spain, France, UK, Italy, etc.? How dumb is the map.

    14. **Chile is technically safer** in terms of violent crime statistics and infrastructure reliability. However, **Peru is often perceived as „easier“** for tourists because the security is heavily concentrated around the major sights

North Korea is safe but Denmark is not. Seems like there might be some flawed methodology here

    16. Greenland is a part of Denmark, is Greenland is considered safe then Denmark should be too.
