      I still cannot understand why the Russians did let him go as POW, they should have make him suffer an „accident“ or at least denied the exchange. The Russians are fine with wasting their own soldiers in droves for nothing, but for getting a few back they accept giving the enemy valuable soldiers back, that totally makes zero sense. But, as the old saying goes, „we are lucky that they are so stupid“.
