They could help Ukraine not suffer blackouts for longer but would not stop the Russian soldiers on the ground.

For the war to end as he predicts, Russia would eiter have to surrender or Ukraine had to defeat them on the field of battle and thats not really feasable even with more anti air.

They needed more tanks, more himars, more jets, more air to groun and ground to ground missiles to break through the russian lines.
The defensive layers Russia has built would be almost impossible to crack without overwhelming fire.

The was was never going to be won/lost by Ukraine shooting down more missiles/drones during the first year of the war.

What would have helped: US being brave and approving f-16 and pushing for tanks early. Instead we got the meme of the US saying: Ukraine does not need „insert system they 100% needed here“ and for denying Ukraine permission to target Russian infrastructure/oil/tankers and such.

If we had been willing to go balls to the wall early,they could have shocked Russia to sue for peace earlier. (As in Ukraine could have had enough supplies to continue the offensive that had success before Russia dug in) Instead they had to dig in and watch as Russia built massive defenses, placed layered minefields, zeroed artillery in on every approach.

Nato then pressured Ukraine to drive into the teeth of the bear with no air cover.. And to nobody with a brains surprise they were targeted by artillery and helicopters as they got bogged down in minefields.

This whole war has been so upsetting. The west has been failing Ukraine from the beginning. Not wanting Russia to win, yet neither daring to let Ukraine win.
Feed them enough to keep the front, but not enough to actually start winning.
