I belive your range is correct
There was a flow-chart that someone posted here a while back with all the things to check in order to date a map (names of countries, specific borders, etc.) That needs to be re-posted (I should have saved it!)
EDIT: it was something like this: [https://xkcd.com/1688/large/](https://xkcd.com/1688/large/)
Not to be a smart ass , but have you looked at the bottom of the base ?
Or google any of the places on your globe ? Maybe there some info. Then you could google globes made in that time era
Between May and September de 1939.
In May 1939, Nazi Germany annexed Bohemia and Moravia, keeping Slovakia as independent (they are like this on the map) In September 1939, Germany and the USSR invaded Poland, which still appears on the map.
Edit: The friend r/Emrrak [mentions ](https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/1rmpx5k/comment/o91ujc8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)that Hatay passed from French Syria to Turkey in June 1939. On the map it looks outdated so the date is restricted from May to June of that year.
Italian occupation of Abyssinia, and presumably before the US entered the war on the side of Abyssinia 😉
I’m sure there’s a person out there for everyone, no need to date your globe, friend
Italian east Africa only existed between 1936-1941
I’m gonna say around 1932-35.
EDIT: after looking closer, between May/June 1938 and September 1939. Austria shows as being absorbed into Germany (happened in April 1938) along with Czechia being absorbed into Germany later the same year.
End of the 1930s. Remember – politic changes weren´t necessarily immediatedly reflected.

Well well well!

Definitely after The First World War, because German Africa is in the hands of The UK and France.
I think you two should break up
1972
I dont think you should be dating your globe, it’s too old for you
Take it to a nice restaurant, ask about its hobbies, treat it well, make it laugh. Should be enough.
Make sure that globe holds the car door open for you and has you home by ten.
Poland left the Soviet Union in 1989
Yugoslavia broke up in 91-92 so this globe is from between 89-92.
This is pre WW2
Everything points to it being early 1939 except the borders of Albania, which reflect the 1941 award of central Kosovo to the Italian Protectorate.
You most likely know it as Myanmar, Elaine. But it will always be Burma to me.
>Italian East Africa
>Austria apparently a part of Germany
Has to be shortly before WWII.
Why, Why don’t you at least get another one and make it a pair…

Old enough to Prove Palestine has always existed
>dating my globe – need help!
Have you asked it about its interests? Also get in good with its father
Pre ww2. East Prussia disappeared after ww2
that’s so sick. hello from a fellow East TN
Drill a hole in it.
Palestine mentioned 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
So OP, what date did you come up with?
Quite surprising Hadramout was in control of the rub al khali (the empty quarter) from Aden protectorate all the way to modern day borders of saudi- qatar and the gulf.
Germany annexed Austria in March 1938, and Czechia in march 1939. Polen was divided between Germany and USSR September 1939.
OP, your globe is between mid March and end of August 1939.
I only like em as a friend
Just out of curiosity, I had a globe that the date was written under one of the metal caps on the pole (middle of Artic or Antarctica). You probably checked, but just in case 😉
Very cool, very interesting.
tell her she looks good despite her age
You can totally date your globe in Date Everything!
