I am not surprised the sycophantic yes men in the Trump admin are trying to bury it, I just don’t get why the rest of the government aren’t doing something. What happened to checks and balances? Is everyone just holding their breath until the midterms?

The reason is the people who are willing to fight haven’t started , is they already had they daydreams about glorious, heroic revolutions and got the action movie shit out of their systems. Then they took a long look at the logistics.

No one wants to be „just some kook with a gun“. They see that any attempt to gain justice and stop the madness legally requires at minimum, a judge willing to leave their cushy position and fight for whats right by signing an arrest warrant. They see one political side who is so up their own ass with stupid shit and hell bent on taking away the tools of revolution. They see the other screaming „my life for you“ like Trashcan Man from the stand, while doing mental gymnastics to justify why America’s most clear and present danger deserves to be supported in a war of expansion. They see the entire system they were raised to believe in and be a part of and in many cases fight for, would come crashing down. They see the police replaced with soldiers in full armor and rifles, begging for the opportunity to murder and then call upon their immunity. They see videos of supersonic, surgically precise war machines, and drones with hand grenades taped to them. They look around, hearing from every angle „Our group hates you, because reasons! We’d die before doing the right thing alongside you“ They look at their families and weigh the financial ruin, the government harassment, the pain that their own death would cause.

Then they ask „well what can I do really?“ And its a very, very hard question to answer.

Didn’t you hear?! It all crumbles if they start arresting people.

I watched a Dr Phil episode about 10-15 years ago (covid messes with my perception of time). He had a girl on with a blurred out face. It sounded so crazy at the time. She insisted there were very powerful people involved. People we’d all know.

I can. I mean I’d say most everyday folk don’t keep up with the Epstein file stuff or don’t believe it, probably treating it with the same thought process as Pizza Gate.
