      I have one friend who is Russian, not a massive number I know but he was a cool dude when we were in St Petersburg years and years ago. He’s not at all Z, he moved to Spain before this and had no love for the environment, his parents are pretty cool but his brother is down a pipeline and they’re fairly certain they’re going to hear about how something happened to him in Donbas in the future.

      It’s nuts, it’s like losing someone to a cult.

      It’s one thing to join a military service and take some abstract risk. 6 Americans killed in Iran attack … out of 100Ks. In Russia, the odds of death are very high, so they are selling their relatives for money, „what can I do?“.
