What was the sample size/margin of error for this survey

This can’t be true my crazy conservative uncle thinks there’s a trans person lurking in every shadow.

I would bet most of these people are ’nonbinary‘ and do absolutely nothing different.

Only about 2.8 million people identify as trans. That’s about 1% of the the America population, but you would think it’s 10x more if you talked to MAGA

Part of Vermont’s 1.1% 🏳️⚧️ here to steal fifth place in women’s swimming events.

Absolute highest is 1.2 and yet everyone has a bee in their bonnets about it lately. It’s so few people, what do I care? It’s not affecting me at all. I don’t get the hysteria, personally.
Do I fully understand it? Of course not. I don’t think you can if you haven’t lived it. But it’s a free country. No sense getting worked up over 1% or less of the population being different.

I’ll confess, these percentages are higher than I was anticipating. I was expecting something around 1/2 or 3/4 of a percent of the population.

Wow, what a scourge! Big, fat /s.

Honestly I’m surprised it’s above 1% for any individual state
Single_Staff1831 on
It’s probably closer to 2% per state, I guarantee a lot of trans people probably opted out of a census survey for this as to not risk getting put on a list and/or people not publicly out for safety reasons. It’s definitely gotta be higher than that with the amount of people I know.

Damn maybe I need to move to Minnesota lol

There is no way California is less than 1%.

If this is sampled data, it basically looks like the sample size in most states is too low to distinguish noise from signal e.g. why would Wyoming have a higher percentage trans-identifying population than Illinois? If it’s not sampled data, that’s quite interesting because there doesn’t seem to be a correlation to political left/right lean.

Northeast being lower than Minnesota was not expected

This explains a lot. I’ll stop there.

Minnesota and Arkansas are outliers, interesting?

I just can’t wait to transition to a young black man. Ever since I was about 12 or so, I wished I could be black. Hopefully one day my dream can come true

Why is the color difference between 1.0 and 1.1 nonexistent, and extreme between 1.1 and 1.2? Like that is anti-logarithm.

Tennessee is higher than I expected and California and (especially) Hawaii lower.
