Trumps Krieg gegen den Iran hat die Kosten für die Gasproduktion Kanadas nicht verändert. Warum werden wir also an den Pumpen abgespritzt?

Well, you can thank Mulroney and Alberta for that particular gift. Doing anything but allowing the oil patch to charge the rest of Canadians ‚what the (global) market will bear‘ was considered unfair to the patch and so we got ‚Oil Freedom Day‘, massive deregulation and price precarity totally at odds with our production capabilities

  2. In NS where prices are regulated, they are linked to the NY harbor spot price. So any market shocks hit us regardless of the actual prices of the fuels arriving at our pumps.

Oil has a global price and has for many decades. Is that a surprise to anyone other than the person who wrote this piece?
