      No nation has surrendered **unconditionally** in the modern era unless it was (a) invaded and defeated on the battlefield or (b) had multiple major cities nuked (Japan).

      even if they wanted to unconditionally surrender, they killed anybody that even had that authority. it’s now multiple separate entities that will literally never give up.

      Last time the US demanded unconditional surrender was against Japan.

      The US was planning a naval operation that would’ve been double what was in the Normandy landings. Operation Downfall would’ve resulted in half a million to 1.5 million American casualties as measured in purple hearts medals ordered.

      In the end Japan surrendered after two atomic bombings and the Soviet invasion of Manchuria.

      I like to think Trump is not going to resort to atomic weapons. I hope.

      Anyone remember that time America went in to Vietnam thinking they could take it over and make them surrender, and then the other time they went into Afghanistan thinking they could take it over and put in a new regime, so I’m not going to hold my breath waiting on this unconditional surrender

      I have a feeling this will go down like Operation Sea Lion, and the battle for Britain. 

      They know it’s a logistical nightmare, and will be an absolute slaughter house if they launch a ground invasion. So they resort to bombing, and more bombing, and more bombing to “weaken the enemy” 

      But I’m calling it that Trump, is going to eventually pull out and launch an attack on Cuba. Give a bullshit “haha that was a distraction for this, and don’t worry we are still going to be attacking Iran. There’s other means of making them surrender”. Keeping the war, as a back burner for Incase the Epstein files heat up again and he has to do something stupid there to distract us with

      I know and understand that Iran rulers deserves some solid ass kicking and intervention for how much terrorism they supported, but why do I get so bad vibes from all of that?
