No, it means you need to give up your driving license due to gross ignorance to the road rules. „End of all restrictions“ sign means that any previously imposed restrictions by previous signs are lifted. General rules are applied as usual (50 in the city, 100 on highway).
Of course not
In germany it would mean exactly that 😏
I think I know what signs you’re referring to.
These signs were erected on the motorway within the inner city limits of Limassol. The one you caught is probably the ending one, but there are multiple of those types of signs along the motorway. You probably didn’t catch them all because most are still covered in black bags, since they are not in effect so far (possibly requiring legislation/unification with current highway code). The one you saw probably got exposed from wind if I had to guess.
AFAIK those signs are meant to tell truck drivers (hence the 12T part) to NOT use the overtaking lane above a certain speed limit due to a surge of truck-related crashes we had in Limassol some months ago (refer to overturned/crashed gas tanker that closed the motorway when caught on fire sometime ago).
If I recall correctly, there’s two white arrows within solid lines separated by a dashed line (symbolising the motorway dual layout) and the additional markers such as the speed limit, truck tonnage and cross. I might be completely wrong, but I’ll try and snap a picture next time I pass by one and send it over here for verification.
TL;DR: Not unlimited speed limit sign but instead – possibly – speed limit informational signs for trucks (12T marker) on the overtaking lane (arrow).
