Just say no to Israel. This is their 8th war in the last year. In what insane world do we want to be aligned with a country that just committed a genocide against Gaza, is now bombing lebanon and killing heads-of-state. Enough is enough. Stand up for Canada for a change.

Let’s just stay out of it completely. We don’t have a defence pact with any of these countries and our capacities are already strained, to say the least.

New polls today showing the Liberals ahead by 11 points.. this would be one way to change that.

But funny enough Im pretty sure there was majority support for the strikes on Iran from Conservative voters! So maybe Carney is really trying to kneecap Poilievre.

I do not support Canada’s involvement with the war in Iran.

Canada should lay low and pour resources into the defence of Canada’s sovereignty, building better infrastructure, and boosting our economy. I’m not saying to turn our backs on the rest of the world – we can help to mediate, and act as peacekeepers to help civilians, but we should not be getting into another war to support a nation that threatens our sovereignty.

Trump cannot be appeased. We have a better chance of deterring him than trying to appeal to him or the American people (who he doesn’t really care about), in my view.

I do find it interesting that it’s not the first time that Canada has had to thread the needle when it comes to unpopular American wars. This exchange in the house of commons over 23 years ago with regards to the Canadian position on Iraq isn’t exactly the same, but it does sort of rhyme:

This may be cope but I do think people are misrepresenting Carney’s statements.

That being said, I’m glad that some Liberal MPs are pushing back because while I do not agree with single issue voters, getting Canada involved in a war that Israel and US started would most certainly be MY single issue the next time we vote.

    7. Good. It doesn’t matter how good of a job a leader is doing overall, the caucus still needs to hold them accountable.

Carney’s initial press release was cucked. His next clarification was somewhat better though not by much.
