The people of Calgary DEMAND more control over Edmontonian immigrants sneaking into the city!!
They want the the Calgary Pension Plan!
They want to pick judges on the Alberta Supreme Court!!

Municipalities are the creatures of the province, so that’s legal, but it is also very fucked up that a province would reach down to that degree and impose on a city. Especially since the province has so many other ways of raising revenue. I’m actually surprised this was only done to Calgary, and not Edmonton.
