Not like this was an accepted norm to prevent another world War or anything.

  2. Who knows, perhaps it’s not so bad when war-mongering leaders have to be scared of losing their own lives instead of sending thousands of their citizens into the fray from the relative safety of their ivory towers. Maybe it makes them think twice before starting anything.

  3. What’s that old saying? „Live by the sword…you can’t get fooled again?“

    I dunno

  4. I’m sure there is a working Stinger somewhere in the world; if I was a reporter I would take the bus.

From what I understand, Iran just needs to spin up a website where anyone can bet on the date of Trump’s passing, thereby incentivizing someone to make it happen who can place an accurate bet and then sweep the table.

  6. politicians have spent decades treating war like a game of Risk. They seem a lot less enthusiastic about the board game once they realize the pieces can actually hit back.

  7. Paywall. Can someone help?

I am eager to learn if the President’s life is in danger!

The orange one probably relishes the thought of being assassinated before he is imprisoned for treason and other crimes.

  9. I’m not sure it’s reasonable to call current times „the post war era“…

I think the Iran war is bullshit, but I don’t see why killing a country’s leader is inherently worse than blowing up their soldiers, much less civilians.

  11. These clowns don’t realize these norms are there for our protection too! All of this „rules of engagement are for sissies“ talk from Hegseth et al ignores the fact that the rules of war protect both sides, and once we start doing whatever we want, our opponents have every right to do whatever they want. Shortsighted buffoons.

  12. Didn’t Iran make a statement to the effect of “Hey we know you guys in the US aren’t doing this, we’re only after 1 specific American, and maybe whoever happens to be in the building with him at the time”?

  13. Sadly this is what people voted for in 2024. Also to blame are third party voters and people that could have voted and stayed home.

  14. Oh man, anyone with who’s got tech better than 5th gen stealth, could just walk in !!!!

This is a real issue. Now that it is normalized to assassinate heads of state, everyone get ready for the floodgates to open. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can be protected 100% every moment of the day.

  16. Did we just quietly forget that Iranian general during Trump’s first term?

Don’t introduce anything into the ecosystem that you wouldn’t want eating you.

This is pretty insane and largely being ignored by our state media that we have adopted a Heritage Foundation foreign policy where we will kill/abduct/remove sovereign nations leadership we don’t like with no concern for what leaders come next or what happened within that country and just repeat if necessity, until eventually they get leaders that will do what they say.

They’re just gonna continue to kill any leadership that pops up in the vacuum they create until they get one that will do as they say. Fucking insane!

trump opened that box in his first term. One of the consequences was a Ukrainian passenger jet getting shot down by Iran killing a lot of Ukrainians and Canadians.

I thought that it was Israel’s missiles that actually killed the leaders of Iran and the US merely was backup?

The people who have been shouting FAFO seem to be in the FA stage right now.

I don’t see a reason why not. Is it okay to kill the pawns? I wanna see Putin wiped away including Lawrow and the other comrades instead of a single woman or kid.

  23. You have to realize that they genuinely do not care about us because the light at the end of the tunnel for them is the literal apocalypse. These people need to be treated like the rabid dogs they are. Our lives are at stake.

The whole lesson of the Iraq and Afghan wars was that a prolonged battle there is a bad idea.

Iran is larger, better prepared, and has the same difficult terrain.

We’ll bleed more blood and treasure than you could ever recoup. Thats why soft power was the correct if less satisfying answer.

My only comment about Trump for the next ten days is:

I hope he has a Julius Caesar month.
