    Philippinischer Seemann erbeutete 13 an seinem Frachtschiff vorbeifliegende Raketen. Ihr Standort lag damals in der Nähe von Oman.


    Die Besatzung zählte die Raketen und zählte 13. Sie erwähnten auch, dass die Raketen von der USS Lincoln kamen, oder es kann interpretiert werden, dass die Raketen aus der Richtung kamen, in der sich die USS Lincoln befand.

      When was this reported?  Also, what are the chances these fly right over a ship. Lucky camera man.

      Seeing cruise missiles flying past me, looking out to the horizon and not being able to see the ship where they came from in the first place would probably cause me to have a little bit of a breakdown I’m not gonna lie

      Wow, I think it’s the first time I’ve seen a recording of a missile like this. Like, mid journey and so close, instead of launching/falling.

      I wondered whether it was possible to tell if the missiles were TLAMs – BGM-109, Tomahawk cruise missiles – or US Air Force AGM-86s. Or something else, such as whatever the Israelis have.

      Pausing on the 3rd and 4th missiles, they really looked like Tomahawks. They didn’t seem to have the angularity of the AGM-86, nor the upper air intake. They didn’t have the bottom intake of the [Israeli „Delilah“](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delilah_(missile)) (the only one with a photo I could find), and also looked longer. And they seemed to be very cylindrical/torpedoish, with wings and fins in the right places. TLAMs, IMO.

      That all makes sense given that they’re out at sea. But nothing would stop the USAF or IAF from launching over water too.

      This is apropos of nothing other than curiosity. If someone disagrees, I’m open to correction.

      Depending on when this was recorded it really makes me wonder if the US is replenishing TLAMs at sea. I know they’ve done feasibility studies on it, but I didn’t think it had achieved operational status across the fleet yet.

      With the sustained numbers we’ve seen used I would expect their stores to be near empty by now, but it seems like they’re still ready to keep slinging them in large quantities.
