      Trump should push for coal-powered cars, use up some of that coal nobody wants.

      Ford’s UEV platform is proof not all legacy OEMs are shitting the bed. Hopefully they start shipping them next year.

      The Japanese lagged just as far behind. Now European car manufacturers are facing the existential threat of being priced out of their own turf by Chinese EVs

      At this point the future of EVs is Chinese. They’ve weaponized their economy and are flooding the market to price out everyone else. Just like they did with steel production

      Had my Model 3 with 280,000 miles and Model X with 210,000 miles

      It was fun but not planning on going back to EV

      Loving my EV right now. This car is so much easier and cheaper to take care of, and my fuel costs are a fraction of gasoline when comparing per-mile spend. I can’t imagine ever going back to burning dinosaurs to roll down the highway.

      I’ve nearly ditched cars altogether. I still use mine for snowboarding, but luckily I was able to find a place to live that’s walkable, bikeable and has access to decent transit in the US.

      The transportation independence is actually super nice, I can choose whichever option works best for a given trip.

      I just saw they cancelled the Wrangler 4xe… One of their top selling cars… For no reason.

      This is self-contradictory, all these industries need rare-earth, but only EV industry can create enough demand for rare-earth to sustain a domestic rare-earth industry? Also this author seems to forget all about the environmental impact of rare-earth production. China valued dominance of rare-earth industry over it’s environment. Can the West do that?

      Probably better especially considering the insane rate of price increases for a barrel of oil.

      Oil and gas prices are going to go through the fucking roof by the end of the month

      For people who live in cold regions: how does very cold weather affect range? Thats one of the reasons im hesitant to get an electric car in the future
