    1. Submission Statement: Munich did not reveal a Europe in denial. It revealed a continent facing a dilemma that it understands but cannot yet resolve. Maciej Bukowski argues that the US is rebalancing its guarantees, focusing influence on tech, energy, and finance, while European states are left to manage key relationships bilaterally.

Europe must turn recognition of its vulnerabilities into coordinated action: joint defense planning, shared industrial priorities, and integrated infrastructure, to prevent slow fragmentation.

Wow maybe 12 years ago when Putin annexed Crimea they should have acted. Instead Germany built the Nord Stream pipelines so they could circumvent Ukrainian pipelines. They then spent a decade buying Russian gas, filling Putin’s „war chest“ and literally funding the current war.

Somehow even now after everything all Europe can do is whine and complain that the US can’t save them. Come on.

Once security is no longer cheap decision making tends to speed up and centralization often follows. That’s something europe may struggle with given how fragmented it is. I also don’t hear much discussion about the societal costs of a major defense shift higher spending industrial changes and maybe different political structures. It could be more transformative than many voters accept and will they keep voting for it?

    4. The western countries never gave a rats a.. about the eastern countries
The plan that’s unfolding now with Iran (next up and coming is Turkey) was planned ever since 2012 when there was a campaign in Poland and Romania to try and make them go against Turkey (look up George Friedman and his statements back then). This plan failed, as Poland has its own stuff to do and Romania plays the inept card to not be pulled into unnecessary wars and also has lots of petty level corruption.
Now they are trying to get to Turkey again through the Iran war.
The easterners are just useful if the west needs scapegoats, cheap labor, or cheap wh0res (we all know about Epstein trips in eastern european countries)
Ukraine? Remember Merkel? She actively sought to refuse Ukraine into EU/NATO since 2014 at least. The plan was for Ukraine and Belarus to be given to Russia (as if they are just toys not countries with people) but Ukrainians (GOOD FOR THEM!) had other plans for their future and protested, revolted and fought for what they deemed as a better future for them than being under Russian influence. Remember Obama next to Putin in the olympics while Russia was invading Georgia? Obama didn’t bat an eye. Its not Democrats or Republicans. Its just the westerners not giving a rats a… about other countries and people.
So while they wanted easterners to fight Turkey (a middle east country) they also promised Ukraine to Russia. And the Middle Eastern countries needed to be either controlled or down. Those plans didn’t really turn out as they wished.
Germans restarted building weapons because of wars all around the world – which means its going to be like a trojan horse in the EU, Russia is almost dying as a power because of Ukraine and Iran is giving a big fat middle finger to US and friends.
Its all happening because the former european empires+US+IsReal wanted more power than they can deal with and because they never ever gave a rats a… about other smaller countries.
