  1. Interesting that they hit the stern, minimize casualty or just random? also why did the first post get deleted?

Edit: nvm, i’m dumb, upon further look it seems much closer to the middle, doubt that much of an impact minimize any casualty.

At least the front didn’t fall off.

You can see people running up there.

  3. Damn. Never seen such a clip with a submarine attacking a ship. I wish it had a color clip, too.

Holy shit, I don’t think we’ve ever seen footage like this before

  5. The sheer energy it takes to make a ship of that size jump damn. Bumpy ride for anyone inside the hull lol

  6. This could be some of the rarest combat footage we’ll ever see on this sub, this is amazing

Not glorifying war here but I bet that crew was so fucking juiced to do that. I imagine sub deployments are mostly long and boring while running endless drills for events  that you feel will never actually occur (I hope they don’t either).

I’m honestly in a little shock. I just watched a USN sub sink a combatant with an adcap from my cell phone the day after it happened.

First us sub action since WWII

101 missing, 78 rescued according to Sri Lankan rescue forces reaching the area.

Jesus christ the way it just lifts out the water.

I mean sure, at 1500 tons not exactly a massive warship but still…

  11. Dude hands down the most historically significant combat footage this sub has seen my god

Modern torpedoes are designed to break the ships keel rather than putting a hole in the side. As an ex mariner this is absolutely terrifying. Ship would have gone down in a minute/s

  13. A goddamn submarine got a torpedo kill before the F-22 got an air to air kill. It ain’t never happening boys.
