      Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals: Packaged medicaments, vaccines, blood, and other pharmaceutical products.

      Energy & Industrial Goods: Refined petroleum, motor cars, vehicle parts, and machinery.

      Food & Agricultural Products: Olive oil (pure), wine, and preserved vegetables (olives, artichokes, peppers).

      Other Goods: Plastics, rubber, and art/paintings.

      I guess Americans are going to pay more again.

      lol. trump saying he’s going to cut off all trade with Spain, and him cutting off all trade with Spain are two very different things. leaving aside it would be extremely difficult for him to do so, and even if he could, the EU would respond rather than Spain, with huge embargos on US products.

      Most of Spain’s exports go to EU countries, the UK, China, and Morocco. Very little goes to the US (about 5% of $400B).

      In the meantime, Spain usually has a trade deficit with the US of about $7B, as they buy $29B in goods from the US and sell $22B in goods from the US.

      interesting outcome – as you tell every other country in the world to fuck off they might not be inclined to let you use their airbases or airspace to attack all the other countries you want to bomb.

      Serious question but can we even embargo a single member of the EU? Does the EU not have some type of protection against this in their charter?

      He can’t cut trade physically with Spain without cutting trade to the entire EU.

      What does this even mean? If I own a business which imports goods from Spain, I’m unable to do that anymore? How is that even possible?
