We’re fierce boring and predictable in the top few names – my own parents were equally unimaginative lol

    2. When and why did Rian get so popular?

Also Sadie and Lily and Noah and Amelia?

I don’t think I knew anyone with those names growing up.

To anyone considering calling your child Rian: you don’t need a fada.

*ia, ua,* and *eo* just naturally sound that way. Think of how the words *grian, fuar* and *Eoin* are pronounced. No fada needed.

    4. Sexy Sadie, Dinner Lady.
She used to work in the rest in UCC. First thing I think of every time.

Croía is a new one on me, and I’m not sure I like it. Croía Harty. Heh: I’m here all week, try the chicken.

When I hear „Noah“, I think of a typical newly-adoped name of female people who have announced they’re nonbinary.

Looks like they’ll have to find a different trend.

    6. Who on Earth is naming their child “Leo” with the main current association of that name being a hated politician.

But I was told Mohammad was the most popular name in Galway by the far right media? They wouldn’t lie to me, would they?

Jack is such an English name to me. Might as well be Oliver or Olivia or Pippy Poppy

    9. Well this clearly isnt ‚by county‘ if Six of them are left off. It should really be ‚Most Popular Names by MOST County 2025‘

    10. I though they would all be Mohammad by now, according to some dipshits 🤣 but an interesting array of names.

And not a single Seamus in sight, so much for my English co-worker thinking we all have the same names
