  1. From USA TODAY:

The decision to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iran-linked masterminds in Hamas and Hezbollah responsible for the Oct. 7 attack, was taken in the immediate days following that deadly assault, USA TODAY has learned.

But more specific planning for what Israel has named “Operation Roaring Lion” and the United States is calling “Epic Fury” did not begin until after Israel’s 12-day war with Iran in June 2025, and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu only gave the order for the operation in November that same year, according to a person familiar with the matter.

  2. I think they should definitely target any building or facility belonging to the conscription center of the regime. If the regime loses their ability to forcefully conscript people, they will be done in the next wave of protests.
I’m surprised Pahlavi hasn’t announced he will end mandatory conscription in Iran.

Do we really think Mossad were caught completely off guard with Oct 7?

Can’t blame them.. you cant just allow another country to kill and kidnap 1100 people of your citizens without severe consequences. Gaza is one, the ayatollah is another. I wonder what Hamas leadership is thinking right now considering that Iran was their main source of revenu for these operations inside Israel territory.  They probably expected a strong response but not on that scale

As a liberal reform Jew let me fix that for you “Netanyahu, knowing he was about to be removed from power over corruption by a solid Israeli majority, ignores intelligence on upcoming attack, allows it to occur, and then makes a big stink about it after.”

By no means am I saying this attack was ok. It was abhorrent. Insane and disgusting. But don’t for one minute think any majority of Jews OR Israelis want what’s going on now. We ALL tried to stop it. He’s their Trump right now. I hope people can understand this.

There is lots of evidence to suggest Netanyahu used this as his “9/11” moment and has really capitalized on his and his right wing insane supporters’ goals that the majority doesn’t approve of.

I had a discussion with my brother when the news came out (2-3 years ago I think?) that Iran had tried multiple different assassination attempts on Trump, and brother said “they’re going to pay for that one day”, and I said something to the effect of “what are they going to do about it? Bomb Iran?”

    ……………………….

  10. The attack they knew was going to happen that they then allowed to happen?

Nah, it was after the 6 day war in 1967. They just waited a little while. Or maybe it was because of 9/11? What’s another event we can pin this on? Ayatollah called trump fat in the 90s?

Duh. This is why Trump secured Venezuela. Secure the oil market so when shit pops off in Iran, US markets shouldnt feel the oil disruption as badly. I’ve been saying this all along. We attacked Iran because Israel told us to.
