    It looks like the border very neatly splits them into north and south. Are there other differences between northern and southern Muslims?

  3. In Finland it’s known as Eid. I guess most Muslim immigrants come from the blue countries.

    You could divide this even further if we went by province since some minorities use a different term than either of these. Interesting map to see nonetheless.

    Kazakhstan uses Ait (pronounced like eye-t) derived from Eid, so it should be blue.

    In Turkish, bayram refers to all festive occasions. To distinguish, Eid is called “Ramazan bayramı”, feast of the Ramazan month.

    I am intrested to see what the Hui in China say ? Assuming they are more Persian influenced they would say Eid too
