      Spain is the worst kind of ally. Their geographic location hidden behind other ally countries allows them to contribute among the lowest per gdp contribution to defense and Ukraine. Of course they can sit on their high horse and do nothing when even other tiny countries like Estonia and Latvia defend EU more.

      The biggest take here is; America actually leaves. I’d have put money on them doing it anyway and basically daring Spain to do anything about it.

      Spain has a left leaning government that has a history of going slightly the other direction when it comes to these things.

      This is also why the US wants to up its European funding for the conservative, right spectrum.
