I assume that 100% means „all of the villages are Turkic populated“ instead of „everyone who lives in that district is Turkic“. Right?

    2. I wonder why turkey hasn’t made a land grab, they aren’t as bound to Russia as Azerbaijan would be

Khamenei and Pezeshkian (current president) are both Azeri Turk. Or rather they’re half-Azeri from their father’s side.

    4. Many people are saying they are not Turk but Turkic

But the fact is different, azerbaidjani are real Turkish, exactly the same population like in the Eastern Turkey.

Turkic is the commun term for Central/Western/Eastern Asian people, people from Middle East and Balkan= Turcoman/Gagauz/Azerbaidjani/Ahiska/Yörük/Kizilbash= same thing = the same Turkic group

The difference between Azeri and Gagaouz from Balkans is less than difference between Kizghiz and Ouzbek.

    5. Still pretty crazy to me that Iran’s Azerbaijan is the original one while the country to the north just co-opted the name.
