      While admittedly the Trump admin does dumb stuff all the time, intentionally blowing up Ahmadinejad
       wouldn’t seem like it would accomplish anything. He’s been out of office for over a decade, and was on the losing end of power struggles with the Ayatollah. My understanding is Ahmadinejad has been trying to establish himself as a sort-of anti-establishment figure for several years now, without much luck since nobody believes he’s particularly genuine about it.

      People are not reading correctly (and don’t know enough about other countries). Supreme Leader Khamenei and former pesident Ahmadinejad are not the same guy.
