      They know how unpopular the war is with their base. And with Americans in general. So, they want to make sure MAGA doesn’t blame them.

      Iran has had plots against American political figures in the past, which were not successful. They may rightfully be worried about a renewed resolve to assassinate them, or even sleeper cells who had instructions to stay low unless there was a decapitation attack against Iran, which is exactly what Israel and the US just did.
