Having been to Manama, there’s at least a 50/50 chance they’re foreign workers. It’s a small wealthy island off the coast of Saudi Arabia ruled by a hereditary Sunni monarchy, and it’s home to the largest US naval presence in the Gulf. So, there are a lot of interesting dynamics there. I was there in 2013 during the Arab Spring and most of the „locals“ I met were foreign workers from Pakistan.

Interesting to see locals (or people brought in to work) get excited to have a part of the city blown up.

I also saw Arabs celebrating the bombs hitting American forces in Qatar. I suppose the talk of the Sunnis being anti Iranian was over done. Many clearly don’t like us even more than they dislike Shias

Hot take: Sometimes you don’t like either side in a war.
Examples would be the eastern front of WWII or just this week Pakistan vs Afghanistan.
I wouldn’t be cheering if the bombs were going off within auditory range.

These are shia citizens of Bahrain celebrating.
If there is anything that video shows, is that radical shiasim (revolutionary Shia) has gone off the deep end. First, the colonization of and genocide in Syria, while cooperating and supporting Assad, before that the sectarian violence in Iraq, simultaneously ruining Lebanon with Hezbollah, it is just too much. In essence, revolutionary shiasim is almost akin to ISIS, but almost all Shias follow it. Which is a huge distinction from ISIS, that is abhored by almost all Sunnis.
In my opinion the end of revolutionary shiasim is coming. First Hezbollah, then Assad, soon Iran, and nobody is really happy about al-maliki in Iraq. And the houthis will not survive long without their Iranian supporters. If Iran falls, revolutionary shiasim is dead.
People don’t realize how much this will change the middle east. A fall of iran together with the changes in Syria, that means Lebanon and Iraq are isolated. The Shia powers will also fall their. This is possibly the dawn of completely new middle east.
Everybody get popcorn. Btw, try this sauce with Popcorn: some mayo, mustard, honey and some salt. Absolutely awesome..

And this is exactly why we shouldn’t have any forces in the Middle East. Leave them the fuck alone, we never should’ve removed Saddam Hussein, we should let them do whatever the fuck they want as long as they stay on their side of the railroad tracks

Look at all of those people cheering for Israel and the United States in a country actively being attacked in retaliation by Iran.
Wait. Never mind.
