  1. Maybe if you’d unequivocally opposed Israel’s genocide you’d be president right now

Harris was a shoe-in if it weren’t for all the shocking personal scandals…oh, there weren’t any.

  3. Politically inept once again.

The message should be that he did it without Congressional approval. He is acting as a dictator.

This is uncontroversial. It has the weight of facts behind it. It can gain a broad consensus which will even include people who are hawkish against the Iranian regime.

Why do the Democrats struggle with things like this? It feels as if the woke takeover of the party, gave it this addiction to purity politics so Democrats would rather signal their virtue than be on the winning side politically.

To win, you have to make statements that gain broad consensus agreement, which unites coalitions against the enemy. You should not be competitively showing how virtuous you are, which is inherently divisive, and will keep you as a powerless minority.

Most people do. Don’t get me wrong, I like that the Ayatollah is dead, but the way it was done just doesn’t seem right. Maybe it’s Iraq and Afghanistan fatigue, but we shouldn’t come in interfering in other countries‘ world affairs. We have enough problems at home to take care of. And we’re the only ones in the world threatening everyone that doesn’t comply, invading, kidnapping leaders, et al. It don’t seem right.

  5. She called Iran our greatest threat to national security on the trail btw. I doubt she would have done a joint strike with Israel, but she certainly wouldn’t have stopped Israel’s mad dog routine.

My word, all I can think of when I see a picture of former Vice President Kamala Harris are the „what ifs?“ How different would the whole world be today if Kamala had won? It is all just so depressing, the reality we have now, and it never needed to be this way!

  7. Trump said you started the war, you know. Trump will say he is bringing peace to Iran with force

If only her voice wasn’t somewhat grating and she hadn’t be affiliated with Biden who was *checks notes* old.

    Just completely disqualifying.

Stfu, you lost because you couldn’t budge on the genocide in Palestine and palled it up with a Cheney, notorious illegal war family member. No one gives a fuck what you think.

  10. She also unequivocally supports Israel’s warmongering and genocide campaign in Gaza, which is why she lost.

I’ll forever be mostly pissed at conservatives for the shit show that these years will be, and the ugliness that has come out.

People who refused to support Kamala (or the Democratic Party) because they weren’t “progressive enough” when they were running against such a clearly horrendous administration are a close second.

Gaza is a genocide that needs to be addressed. Today a school was bombed, and trump took 10 billion of our money to develop it, so good work I guess. Fucking awful.

  12. I’m not sure why politicians make a big show of saying things like „unequivocally“, why remind people you normally make statements that are vague doublespeak and don’t take a real position on things?

Very strong statement, and I say this as someone who thought her 2024 run was way too hawkish. No equivocating about „the Iranian regime is terrible but…“ or procedural complaints, actual moral opposition.

I really wish she’d spoken like this more in the primaries, but sadly Biden demanded zero daylight between them. I don’t think being a mini-me for him was good for her political future at all.

  14. Considering she has a snowball’s chance in hell of getting the Democratic nomination, this is probably a good bet: in the event the war goes horribly wrong, she can be the one with the strongest stance against it. Suffice it to say, this calculation and insincerity is why people never liked her to begin with.

  15. I think democrats should sit tight and wait a few days personally before going full opposition. Nobody likes the Ayatollah and reporting is in that top FAFO bitch Ali Khamenei found out.

Certainly congress needs to be consulted. Maybe probably before hand? Push for transparency and proper disclosure. But I’d be careful going full against this until the picture is more clear.

  16. Imagine being quoted, “Russia can’t hack a piece of paper”, for the blocked 2019 PAVE Act. Then not demanding hand recounts when your felon opponent miraculously wins 7/7 swing states along with 5000 other red flags.

Well she would, it’s not innocent, Palestinian children being hurt alive this time

  18. But lets hear more about how she supported genocide and liberals couldn’t POSSIBLY VOTE FOR HER because she was LITERALLY THE SAME AS TRUMP

Fuck all of this. Worst fucking timeline.

  19. So did literally every Republican before Trump took office. They’d be calling her and democrats warmongers right now if she was elected and did it. That’s a fact no one can refute honestly. Their whole ant-war rhetoric was bullshit to begin with. They only said it because Trump did, but they love killing brown people and now they can openly love it again.
